Introduction

This descriptive research aimed to assessthe implementation of Digital Enabling Teaching (DET) in Guangdong Technology College (GTC) and to enhance teachers' and students' digital ability through problem-solving. As its participants, 1429 students and 105 teachers from Guangdong Technology College were randomly sampled. Results showed that the teachers and students assessed the extent of implementation of Digital Enabling Teaching in terms of Digital Teaching Strategies, Digital Tools and Technologies, Digital Assessment Strategies is to a "great extent", and the level of teachers' digital ability and students' digital learning skill level is "high". In addition, there is a significant relationship between students’ digital learning skills and extent of implementation of DET; and students’ digital learning skills teachers’ digital competence. In this study, the problems and challenges encountered are synthesized into the following themes: Digital resources, Motivation, Digital training, Digital capabilities. As an offshoot of the study, a proposed proposed plan of action aims to enhance teachers digital and competence and students’ digital skills. The proposed action plan is expected to respond to the needs of technology-enabled education, improve the efficiency and effectiveness of education and teaching, and benefit the teachers and students of Guangdong Technology College, while also providing reference for similar schools.
