Introduction

In this book, the author sorted out, analyzed, and sublimated her more than 10 years' experimental research results on the arc discharge, the vibration of pantograph- catenary system and the friction and wear properties of contact materials, and formed the book of 7 chapters for the reference of experts and scholars in the relevant field. The main content is as follows:

Chapter 1: Briefly introduce the significant of the research on current-carrying wear of carbon strip in a pantograph-catenary system, the wear tester, materials and the system of data acquisition and analysis.

Chapter 2: Arc discharge phenomenon of bow net system (1) The parameters, including arc discharge energy, arc discharge frequency and single arc discharge energy, are introduced to quantify the quantified parameters of arc discharge phenomenon. (2). The generation and variation of arc discharge are systematically studied and the methods to suppress arc discharge are put forward.

Chapter 3: The vibration characteristics of pantograph-catenary system. (1). The variation law and the main factors affecting the vibration; (2). Research on the correlation between the vibration and arc discharge phenomenon.

chapter 4: Research on the current-carrying friction and wear characteristics of carbon strip of pantograph. (1). The variation law and influencing factors of friction behaviour; (2). Study on wear properties of the carbon strip.

Chapter 5: study on wear mechanism of carbon strip. (1). The evolution of wear mechanism of carbon strip and the influencing factors of wear mechanism of carbon strip; (2). Research on the formation and expansion law of delamination wear of carbon strip. (3). Methods and measures to avoid the loss of carbon strip.

Chapter 6 and Chapter 7: Studies the current-carrying characteri-stics of carbon strip. (1). The main factors affecting the conductivity of carbon strip, study the methods and measures to avoid the failure of current-carrying in soft friction process; (2). Study on current-carrying wear properties of the strip in rigid friction process.
