Interdisciplinary research on distributed processing system has developed rapidly, which has penetrated into many disciplines such as computer science and technology, information and communication engineering, electrical engineering, etc. The journal Distributed Processing System publishes the latest research findings of distributed processing systems, including multicomputer systems, distributed computer systems, topological structure of localized network, design and debugging principles, and current research topics and its development tendency, etc.

The distributed processing system is the most important and fastest developing system in the current computer field, and it also needs the support of a strong academic background.  This journal is intended to serve the scientists and engineers in office automation and process control as well as the experts and scholars in computer-related fields. Leading talents in this field are expected to actively exchange and share academic experiences here.
