This book is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the research background, significance, scope, methods, innovation, and shortcomings; Chapters 2 to 7 respectively explore the origin and development of Hakka culture in eastern Guangdong, the connotation and characteristics of cultural genes, inheritance mechanisms, evolution processes, and contemporary inheritance status; The final chapter is the conclusion, summarizing the research achievements and contributions of the entire book, and proposing future prospects. 

This book aims to delve into the inheritance and evolution process 

of Hakka cultural genes in eastern Guangdong. Through a systematic study of their historical origins, connotation characteristics, inheritance mechanisms, and contemporary values, it reveals the development trajectory and future direction of Hakka cultural genes in the changing times. I hope that through the research in this book, more people can pay attention to and attach importance to Hakka culture, and promote the inheritance and development of Hakka culture towards a broader world. At the same time, we also look forward to exploring the future development path of Hakka culture with readers, and contributing our wisdom and strength to the prosperity and development of Chinese culture.
