Peer Review Process

General Peer-Review and Editorial Procedure

All manuscripts sent for publication in our journals are strictly and thoroughly peer-reviewed by experts. Editorial office of the journal will perform an initial check of the manuscript’s suitability upon receipt. The editorial office will then organize the peer-review process performed by independent experts and collect at least two review reports per manuscript. We ask our authors for adequate revisions (with a second round of peer-review if necessary) before a final decision is made.

Editorial Decision and Revision

All the articles published in Scholar Publishing Group journals go through the peer-review process and receive at least two review reports. The editorial office will communicate decisions to the authors regarding the following:

• Accept in Present Form:

  The paper is accepted without any further changes.

• Accept after Minor Revisions:

  The paper is in principle accepted after revision based on the reviewer’s comments. Authors are given five days for minor revisions.

• Reconsider after Major Revisions:

  The acceptance of the manuscript would depend on the revisions. The author needs to provide a point by point response or provide a rebuttal if some of the reviewer’s comments cannot be revised. Usually, only one round of major revisions is allowed. Authors will be asked to resubmit the revised paper within ten days and the revised version will be returned to the reviewer for further comments.

• Reject and Encourage Resubmission:

  An article where additional experiments are needed to support the conclusions will be rejected and the authors will be encouraged to re-submit the paper once further experiments have been conducted.

• Reject:

  The article has serious flaws, makes no original contribution, and the paper is rejected with no offer of resubmission to the journal.

Peer Review Process

All Scholar Publishing Group submissions are subject to a strict single-blind peer review process, drawing upon the expertise of a range of academic and industry experts to ensure the validity and relevance of the resulting journal content. Besides, the Editorial office conducts an initial review process (pre-screening) before assigning the paper to the reviewers. Participation in the peer-review process is essential to the success and reputation of the journal. Reviewers and editors determine which works are of quality and significance.

All Scholar Publishing Group journals use a single-blind review process. The following steps give an example for the detailed peer-review process:

• Authors submit their manuscript to the journal

• Editorial office checks the submission through a pre-screening process to make sure it meets the required level of quality and fits within the journal's scope

• If the paper passes the above steps; the corresponding editor assigns reviewers to it

• The reviewers' recommendations determine whether a paper will be accepted/ accepted with minor revision/ needs major revision / or rejected

• Once the Editor receives two review reports, he can make a decision

• The Editor may invite more reviewers if he sees that the received reports are not strong enough

• The decision is one of the following (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, and Reject)

• Once the decision is assigned to the submission, the system will notify the authors automatically with the reviewer's comments

• The author is requested to submit the revised version before a deadline determined by the editor

• Once the author submits the revised version; the whole process will be repeated
